The Howitzer Loves His Mom

charlotte

The Proverbs say that a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. That is a snapshot of my mom. When I was ten my folks got a divorce and my mom took full responsibility for raising my younger brother, my younger sister and me. Sometimes I don’t know how we made it on her meager salary. But, there was always love and somehow always enough food. We lacked nothing though we had very little. My mom was a woman who feared (and still fears) the Lord and she entrusted the children to her Father’s care. My inspiration for beginning to write this blog was her as she writes a blog call Ms Charlotte In the Morning.  As I read her post each morning I began to desire to want to capture some of my own thoughts about walking with God.

One of my most personal passages in the Bible is found in book of Second Timothy.  Paul writes to his young protege, “I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois (in my case Ruda) and in your mother Eunice (my mom is Charlotte) and , I am persuaded now live live in you.”  That is my legacy as well.  The faith that is central to all I am first lived in Ruda and then Charlotte and now me.  Thanks Ladies!
