I am a lucky man!

I have to admit I am a big country fan. Maybe I am just an old redneck at heart but there are certain songs that stir my heart as much as any church song out there. One song that I have heard lately is by Montgomery Gentry. It has a great chorus (the song’s not bad either).

Lucky Man Lyrics
But I know I’m a lucky man
God’s given me a pretty fair hand
Got a house and a piece of land
A few dollars in a coffee can
My old trucks still running good
My ticker’s ticking like they say it should
I got supper in the oven, a good woman’s loving
And one more day to be my little kid’s dad
Lord, knows I’m a lucky man

I don’t know anything about this guy but I appreciate his thankful spirit. God has blessed him with pretty good setup in general, he has a place to live, a little money set back, transportation, good health, food to eat, good wife and children.. I agree that he is a lucky man!

Don’t know that I believe in luck though I understand the sentiment. We know that all blessings flow from heaven above. So really the better word is probably “blessed by God”, but lucky sound better in the song! Have a great (lucky) (blessed by God) day!
