But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. 1 Thess 4:13
I went to my Mother’s funeral today. It is a preferred path to say goodbye to a believing parent. I don’t know that I could have born the pain of experiencing the death of an unbelieving parent. The primary solace that we had was the fact that she was with the Lord. As the passage above says we have hope. Oh I know that some of you slightly religious or irreligious readers think that I overstate my case (and maybe I do) but at the time of death the only thing that matters is how one
relates to God. As they place you in your coffin and your spirit departs for its next destination it is important that your affairs are in order.
Well I think that’s what my mom would say.
And I can only say after I said good- bye to my Sister in Christ, I should say, see you later,
EVEN SO LORD JESUS, COME!!!!
